General Meeting and Lunch at “La Galerie”

The General Meeting of the Ordre des Canardiers took place in Rouen on October 14th and was followed by a meal at “La Galerie”, a very pleasant restaurant located close to the Old Market Place. About thirty guests attended the event and enjoyed the chef’s delicious meal :

Chiffonnade of Poultry with Cream of Mushroom Soup, Truffle Oil and Trapper's Spices, followed by a Back of Cod with Herbs, Ratatouille and Herb Juice, before finishing with a Declination of Exotic Fruits, Saffron Biscuit and a Quenelle of Red Fruit Sorbet.


In mid-October, Rouen’s City Centre turns into a market of local and regional products as part of the Fêtes du Ventre. To mark the occasion, culinary presentations are made at various stands. On October 14th, the Ordre des Canardiers was invited to demonstrate the recipe of Rouennaise Duckling at the stand run by the City of Rouen. The demonstration was achieved by Master Canardier Jean-Paul LAVISSE, assisted by Patrick COIGNARD, from C2 La Cuisine, and by a chef from the restaurant 'La Couronne'. Around fifty people were able to discover the recipe, which was filmed and shown on a screen, and then to taste it.
